On The Sheep’s Back Opening

Wednesday March 5th saw a large gathering at The Artspace in the Box Hill Town Hall for the opening of On The Sheep’s Back, a wonderful collection of images by MAPgroup’s own Francis Reiss taken in 1951. This is an exhibition well worth seeing.

Credit must also go to Michael Silver of Photonet Gallery for the production of the exhibition prints produced from some less than ideal scans of original prints.

The exhibition, which runs from March 5 to April 14, 2014  is on at:

The Artspace, Box Hill Town Hall
1022 Whitehorse Rd, Box Hill Victoria.

Hours:
Tues-Fri 10 am – 4 pm
Sat 12 – 4
Sun & Mon Closed

I saw a segment about this exhibition On the Sheeps Back on Landline and was thrilled as I am coming to Melbourne in about 4 weeks time. These photos are my childhood – I grew up on a sheep farm at Cowra.
However I then discovered that it closes tomorrow. Is the exhibition moving somewhere else and is there a way to see the photos? Perhaps it is coming to Sydney as I live just north at Gosford?
