The work of several MAPgroup photographers is featured in Behind the Wheel, a new book by The Worldwide Publishing Empire. Behind the Wheel takes you on a road journey like no other, with over 200 brilliant images in one glorious book. The photographs are complemented by four essays on life on the Australian road by four highly respected writers. All the iconic Australian roadside scenery is assembled in this one captivating book that winds through Australia’s cities and suburbs, rural towns and remote outback with photographs that are beautiful, bold, breathtaking, and sometimes bizarre. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
Behind the Wheel is available in good bookstores or direct from the publisher for $39.95.

Exhibition, Nicole Marie
Back and Forth, Come and Go is an exhibition by MAPgroup photographer Nicole Marie, created in the year following her sea change relocation to Geelong. A new space was born out of her daily rail commute between Geelong and Melbourne.
The series provides glimpses into a liminal space where we are not one place or another; we are halfway between, with no need to be anywhere else. It is a captured meditation on how people choose to navigate a gateway between places, where time transitions and slows.
Venue: Little Creatures Canteen Gallery
221 Swanston Street, Geelong, Victoria
Exhibition duration: 24 July – 20 August 2017
