The “Many Australian Photographers Group,” known as MAP Group, is a non-profit association of around fifty photographers who share a passion and commitment to high quality, independent documentary image making. Our photographers range from emerging to well established, many of whom are recipients of national and international awards.

The photographers of MAP Group have completed the first stage of a nation-wide philanthropic project documenting the drought and its impact on Australia’s water resources. We have called this project “Beyond Reasonable Drought”. This ambitious project aims to record the impact of this long-running drought on the land, the people and the psyche of the nation.

MAP Group is now on Facebook. More information here

'Beyond Reasonable Drought' the book, is now available. Approximately A4 size, the book contains 216 pages. More information here

MAP Group would like to acknowledge the wonderful generosity of De Bortoli Wines, an environmentally aware company,  in support of the launch of 'Beyond Reasonable Drought'.

Like many Australians, MAP Group members were horrified by the tragic bushfires of February 2009 that devastated so many Victorian communities. To help in our own small way, MAP Group is offering Bushfire Photo Help for those survivors who lost their photos in the fires. More information here.
